Assurd Techlabs is an independent forensic certification authority. We do not buy or sell hardware. We subject it to rigorous scientific analysis and issue cryptographically signed Digital Certificates that any buyer can verify, for any unit, at any time.

The Problem

The pre-owned hardware
market is broken.

It operates on blind trust, vague descriptions, and the constant fear of hidden damage — mining abuse, thermal degradation, flashed firmware, dying VRMs. A seller can hand you a passing 3DMark screenshot and a GPU that will fail in 40 minutes under real load.

Buyers take leaps of faith. Honest sellers cannot prove the actual value of their pristine hardware. The information asymmetry destroys value on both sides of the transaction.

What We Are

Four principles that
do not bend.

Independent

We do not buy or sell hardware. We have no financial interest in the outcome of a certification. Our only product is an accurate verdict.

Forensic

Our methods are derived from electrical engineering principles, not marketing benchmarks. Every metric has a physical basis and a documented failure signature.

Cryptographic

Certificates are SHA-256 signed with the extracted ROM hash embedded. They cannot be transferred to a different unit, tampered with, or counterfeited.

Public

Every certificate is published to a searchable public registry. Any buyer can verify any unit before purchase, with no account required.

The Pipeline

Five mandatory phases.
No shortcuts.

Every submitted GPU passes through all five phases in sequence. A failure at any Hard Limit terminates the process. The unit does not proceed.

Phase 01

Physical Forensics

Microscopic PCB inspection, 4-wire Kelvin rail resistance measurement, and power connector assessment before any power is applied. A short on the 12V rail means immediate quarantine.

Phase 02

Silicon DNA Match

We extract the VBIOS binary directly via hardware SPI reader — not software — and SHA-256 hash it against our registry. Spoofed hardware, mining firmware, and board ID fraud are caught here.

Phase 03

1800-Second Thermal Trace

A 30-minute forensic heat soak at 1-second polling intervals. We wait for true thermal equilibrium. The Core-to-Hotspot delta is our primary thermal interface material health diagnostic.

Phase 04

Compute & Gaming Validation

Frametime distributions, not benchmark scores. Tensor core throughput. NVML lifetime ECC error counters. Blender render output hash verification. We test the things sellers cannot fake.

Phase 05

Digital Certificate Issuance

The Rules Engine — not the technician — assigns a Hardware Grade (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Fail). A SHA-256–signed Digital Certificate is issued to the public registry as an immutable Digital Twin of the asset.
